See how this home office was transformed from unusable to tidy. This home office was the catch all for the while house. How did we do it? We started by removing the obvious trash/recyclables which was mostly empty boxes. Then we tackled the desk, discarding anything that did not serve a purpose in an office. Once the desk was organized with only office supplies, we addressed the piles on the floor. Most of the items were either donated or organized into the filing cabinet or office closet. Pro Tip: Before you dive into decluttering, choose a spot to put your donate items, recyclables and trash. I find that having a spot outside of the room you are organizing is helpful because there is less clutter and you can focus on what you need to sort instead of looking at piles you already went through. Decluttering and organizing a home office can be a daunting task. If you get overwhelmed tackle one area at a time, start with a desk or one shelf. Stay positive + take breaks!
